Guess I’ve figured out what the new Lensbaby’s soft focus aperture discs do. Weird spotty bokeh!

Basically, I dropped a small round piece of cardboard with lots of little holes in it behind the lens.

OK, the Lensbaby fisheye is MUY FUN! The moveability (mobilty?) of the entire lens means you’re not restricted to the usual full circle fisheye madness and can be creative with partial globes and corners. Combined with special soft focus aperture discs, you can get a nice gradual fade as it curves into darkness.

Still getting used to the simple twist focus of the Composer tho. After years of gripping and manipulation on the Original’s bellows, it feels like cheating!
