Well, so far, so sucks; 2011 is turning out to be as fun and fantastic as 2010

Apologies for the lack of activity so far this year, but motivation and inspiration has been thin. I did have one fabulous birthday weekend in Philly, however, so I’ll share a few photos from then, including this statue at the Rodin Museum.

I recently took a day trip to Rochester and returned to one of my most favorite, surreal places – Artisan Works. The place is seriously wonky. Woo!

On a recent visit back to the UK homestead, we had a brief stopover in Ireland, and I managed to snap a few shots. This was along the western coast, at the dramatic Cliffs of Moher.

It may be raining today, but last weekend the sun was stunning!

As I was heading to an assignment the other day, this fantastic fog descended and I swerved into a cemetery to snap some spooky shots. Yay fog! The coolest thing about the cemetery, however, was this grave! FAUST! With crazy shrubbery. So awesome.

Gaudi knew a thing or two about geometry. Mmmm…

Had to embark on another sad transatlantic trip, during the height of the volcanic ash chaos no less, so we ended up in Barcelona before taking an epic train journey across France and England. I managed to snap a few shots in the magical city, mostly on my iPhone again.

The trip to the family (in laws) farm in South Hetton had a surreal feel, and I took quite a few walks by myself or with the sweet old dog, Gypsy. This was taken while wandering at dusk in a bit of a daze fueled by physical and emotional exhaustion. I used a combination of cheapo stick-on starburst Jelly Lens and the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone.
